The Pueblo County Historical Society [PCHS] is located in the Southeastern Colorado Heritage Center at 201 West B Street, Pueblo, Colorado. The historical society has been in existence since 1975 and is 100% self-funded and operated by volunteers. The mission of the society is “to bring together those people interested in history, especially the history of Pueblo County, the State of Colorado, and the United States in general.

Understanding the history of our community is basic to our democratic way of life, gives us a better understanding of our state and nation, and promotes a better appreciation of our American heritage.” We have over 500 paid members. The 13-member board consists of president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and nine at-large members.
